Well….an attempt anyway!

Travis Pastrana is going to attempt to jump a rally car 200 feet, ramp to ramp, and land on a barge in the Pacific Ocean. Yeah, read that again if it sounds too crazy. He’ll not only be attempting the longest car jump ever, he’ll be landing in a body of water. Pretty awesome! I hope he lands it! You can check out the event Live on New Years Eve on ESPN at 11PM ET!

Travis has a pretty long pedigree for extreme motor sports. He started when he was barely into his teens and has won awards in almost every off road event you can think of. Equally impressive is his injury list! According to Wikipedia he has had “… dislocated spine, in his left knee he’s torn his ACL, PCL, LCL, MCL, his bucket handle meniscus, broken his tibia and fibula, he’s had surgery on his left wrist twice, left thumb once, two surgeries on his back, one on his right elbow, nine on his left knee, six on the right knee, one shoulder surgery which left him with the only piece of metal he has in his body…”
